Ruby, the owner was kind and generous! Miguel, the server frequented our table repeatedly! Loved his service! This was a Tuesday night. The owner even sent us a complimentary appetizer. Enjoyed it immensely. The female servers were from Thailand and dressed in Thai apparel. Very beautiful decorations on the wall were also Thai and authentic. The “Thai hot” chicken sauce was rather too hot for me, a senior citizen. Next time we’ll go for the “hot” instead. The chicken was kind of chewy unfortunately. The other dishes were terrific. All the appetizers were great. This is a nice place for any celebration!

We spent a few days in the Villages. Since we love Thai food, this change was very welcome. There aren't many Thai restaurants there, but this one was completely booked. We found our favorite green curry and red curry on the menu. The prices weren't that high, either. They served tap water with it. We would go back anytime. It was very clean, and our special requests were fulfilled. Our little daughter, for example, wanted tomatoes and cucumbers. The restrooms were also very clean, and there were beautiful decorations on the walls. We were in Thailand and reviewed many restaurants there. The food was just as good as it was in Thailand. The restrooms were very clean, and the soap smelled lovely. The portions were huge, and we were more than full. We even had something packed for us. The location is great, and you could still hear the music from the nearby square outside. If there's anything to complain about, it's that the water tasted a bit like chlorine. But that's really just nitpicking about the standard. We went there with friends and, after a very short wait, got a table for six. The menu was also very clear. By that, I mean, we could quickly see which type of meat was served in each dish.

Thai Ruby is officially my favorite restaurant in The Villages! Everything was delicious, the service was consistent and polite, and the ambiance is perfect! I highly recommend the Thai Ice Tea and the red curry.

Had a lovely lunch here with my daughter. The food was wonderful. We had the lunch special which comes with soup and spring roll. We enjoyed our lunch and we will be back.

First time we eat here to celebrate my husband birthday and wow the food is delicious and the price is great!! I would definitely recommend to come here and try they food. Service is fantastic!!

Wow! What a experience we had with such a delicious food. We ordered Sampler Platter, Amazing Sauce and Green Curry. I wasn't too thrilled about the Green Curry which was too blend for me. I think the Sampler Platter was the best dish for me. All, egg rolls, spring rolls, crispy shrimps, crab lagoons and the curry dumplings were so delicious. I loved the batter on the shrimp which was very lightly breaded and so crispy. Talk about crab lagoon, the best carb lagoon ever. So much flavor with cream cheese. I also loved the curry dumplings which was just right amount of curry flavor. Loved, loved, loved the customs that all the servers were wearing.

We like Asian food and searched for a local restaurant that wouldn't break the bank. The closest Thai restaurant, Thai Ruby, was located in Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages, an easy drive for us. Their extensive menu has a variety of menu options certain to please any diner looking for generous portions at a reasonable price. We got five satisfying dinners from these two dishes for under $40.00. We looked at the posted outdoor menu and decided on the Pad Thai Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken dinners for takeout. Kayla welcomed us, took our orders as we sat down to wait. A few people were seated at 3:00 that afternoon so our wait was not long at all. The restaurant has several booths on one side and tables on the other. Natural light fills the table side; the booth side is darker with no natural light but lit with wall lamps. Thai wall hangings complete the decor. Our dinners were packaged in a large sturdy paper bag with handles and a piece of cardboard in the bottom to stabilize the containers. We drove 30 minutes home to find the food still hot. The portions were huge and we were impressed with the generous amount of chicken in both dishes. No scrimping on meat here. Since we are not fans of spicy food, we were happy with the mild flavors. However, the menu indicates three available spice levels: Medium, Hot and Thai Hot. The menu also indicates gluten free dishes and the number of individual pieces included in each dish where appropriate: "Thai Spring Rolls (4)." All entrees are served with jasmine rice. Some dishes such as Roast Duckling and Snapper Ginger are "Market Price." The menu requests: "No substitutions, please. No MSG is used in our dishes and only mild spices." Six desserts are offered including three Thai offerings: ice cream, lychee (exotic fruits on top of homemade coconut ice cream), and fried donuts. Soft drinks, teas, Thai iced tea and iced coffee complete the menu. If you are looking for a positive dining experience with generous portions at a reasonable price in "Florida's Friendliest Hometown," Thai Ruby Restaurant is for you.
